Summary:
Responsible for maintaining shop cleanliness and flow of materials within shop in preparation for equipment production.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Abides by PRS Safety and Operational Policies and Procedures.
Perform routine shop housekeeping such as, but not limited to, cleaning shop, picking up tools, and sweeping floors.
Utilize inspection equipment and materials in preparation produce finished parts or other equipment.
Operate forklift to transport partially machined parts from machine to machine to ensure materials flow throughout shop to ensure smooth production processes, keeping the required documentation attached to materials for tracking purposes.
Operate forklift to transport materials to staging areas in order for machinist to begin machining process.
Assist manager or other shop personnel with special shop projects such as, but not limited to, performing basic construction of shop structures.
Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must have basic computer skills.
Must have good mechanical aptitude.
Must be able to follow detailed verbal and written procedures and instructions.
Solid hand/eye coordination.
Ability to use all related equipment and maintenance tools, including hoist, jacks, lift, drill press, saw, forklift, loaders, grinder, etc.
Must have good communication skills.
Must successfully pass pre- and post- employment drug and alcohol test per company policy.
EDUCATION AND
Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent Experience as a shop hand or similar position in the oilfield preferred PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 50 pounds, or more, occasionally; be able to frequently push forces of 30 pounds, pull forces of 100 pounds, bend, stand, kneel, carry, or sit for extended periods of time.
Must be able to work in an environment where exposure to loud noise, vibrations and bright lights, moving parts and rotating equipment is present.
Must be able to work in an environment where exposure to various chemicals in the Machine shop environment is present.
Must be able to work in an environment where safety glasses, steel toe boots and ear plugs are required to be worn at all times.
Must be able to work in an environment of varying climates including warm, hot and cold temperatures.
Must have good manual dexterity to perform daily tasks, operate machines or other standard shop equipment.
Must have vision and hearing within normal range.
